The white Mercedes-Benz Unimog 4×4 Fixed Roof combines a recognised off road truck platform with a permanently accessible expedition camper body.
The fixed roof design offers a permanently accessible living space with a robust structure, making it an excellent choice for long-distance and remote expedition travel.
Every Mercedes Arocs 4×4 Fixed Roof expedition truck is custom built to suit your style of travel, with layouts, storage solutions, electrical systems, water capacity and onboard equipment tailored to your expedition requirements.
Floorplans are available for left hand drive, right hand drive and alcove configurations.
The Mercedes-Benz Unimog product guide covers the U 430, U 530, U 4023 and U 5023. These platforms offer different engine outputs, weight capacities and all wheel drive systems.
Each model uses portal axles with coil springs, a UG 100/8 transmission with an integrated transfer case and pneumatic disc brakes.
We combine the Unimog platform with a German designed fixed roof body to provide permanent access to the living area and a configuration suited to extended expedition travel.
We build our fixed roof expedition camper bodies using German designed composite construction, including 60 mm composite walls and an engineered torsion free subframe.
The subframe allows the Unimog chassis to move across uneven terrain while helping protect the more rigid camper body from chassis twist.
The Unimog range uses link located portal axles with coil springs. Portal axles position the axle centre above the wheel centre, helping provide ground clearance across uneven terrain.
Differential locks are standard across the four Unimog platforms covered by the product guide. They help support traction when travelling over loose, slippery or uneven surfaces.
The UG 100/8 transmission includes an integrated transfer case designed to support the Unimog all wheel drive system.
The Unimog range provides a choice of engine outputs, gross vehicle mass limits and drive configurations. Our team can help identify the platform suited to your intended floorplan, equipment and travel requirements.
Central tyre inflation is available as an option across the Unimog range. The U 4023 and U 5023 also offer an optional 1,200 mm water fording kit.
Optional equipment depends on the selected chassis and final vehicle configuration.
The fixed roof body remains ready to use without requiring the roof to be raised after stopping. This provides convenient access to the living area during regular travel days and extended stays.
